Product details
Our Puppy Chicken* dry food has been prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung). FSG is a method of preparing fresh meat. It comes from the kitchen rather than the feed industry. It was modelled on techniques that top chefs often use to prepare meat, in a tastier and also healthier way.
With FSG (Fleischsaftgarung), fresh meat is cooked in a vacuum at low temperature, using only its own meat juices. After a long cooking time, during which the moisture of the meat juice is slowly reduced, this dry food is created.
The dry food Puppy Chicken prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung) is primarily cooked meat which means following for your dog:
- extra tasty,
- as nutritious as BARF,
- excellent for building muscle,
- quickly digestible,
- effectively absorbed and
- chewable-soft due to the meat juice.
Our dry food also reduces the risk of gastric torsion because it does not swell in the stomach.
Safe and honest
For you, we have our dry food tested regularly and independently by one of the most renowned test centres in Germany, ELAB Analytik GmbH (formerly TÜV SÜD ELAB). What is tested:
- Our fresh meat content: Checking recipe compliance at the point of preparation
- For contaminants, to protect the health of your best friend
- Our declaration
* Our dry dog food prepared with FSG has a new, elegant design, although the preparation method and recipe remain unchanged, of course! However, in order to be environmentally conscious, we are not disposing of the remainder of the previously used pouches, but are of course using them up. The innovative new pouches will therefore gradually replace the old ones - starting with Adult Chicken. The other varieties and packaging sizes will also be gradually replaced

Our experience reports
I am really happy with the PLATINUM dry dog food. My dog is very sensitive, and his stomach gets upset very easily. That’s not the case with PLATINUM. His ears are clean,
he doesn’t have problems with skin irritation or digestion.
He loves all the varieties! Thank you for the high quality.

When we got Lexi from the breeder, we used to feed her a different brand. After a while, we noticed that she wasn’t digesting the food well. Our vet recommended PLATINUM and we immediately switched.
You could see the difference after just a couple of weeks: her coat shone (we were often asked about it),
her digestion had improved, and the consistency of the food is really good.
We have been feeding Lexi Iberico+Greens for a couple of years now, because she was found to be intolerant to animal food.

Luke has had stomach problems since he was a puppy. Even changing over to well-known food types has not helped. I heard about PLATINUM from a friend, but I was very sceptical initially. As with all recommendations, I did some thorough research first, but I was quickly convinced by the many positive customer reviews and the excellent composition of the food. Ordering and delivery were both very quick. I immediately switched Luke to PLATINUM and after 4 days he was feeling better than ever.
No more stomach problems
and he was much better in general. I definitely won’t change again, and my next dog will also get PLATINUM.

My 1.5-year-old French Bulldog Cuba has been fed PLATINUM Iberico+Greens dry dog food for about four months. We had previously tried dry foods from other manufacturers, but we always had problems with tolerance or taste. Someone recommended PLATINUM to us and now we are loyal customers! The food smells pleasant, doesn’t swell and is easily digestible for Cuba. The fact that he runs like crazy to his food bowl every morning shows how tasty he thinks his food is.
We have also been using PLATINUM's Click-Bits and Fit-Sticks as motivation for dog sports for a while now. We have only had good experiences with these products too!
We highly recommend PLATINUM!

I have to say that I am really happy with the food, and I cannot stop recommending it to friends and acquaintances for their dogs.
Maddox is now over five years old, and since we switched away from puppy food, he has only eaten PLATINUM food.
Every time he sees his food, he gets excited like a little puppy and eats the whole bowl.
So, no other food comes into my house. I trust the quality ingredients. For variety, I always order the 3 x 5 kg pack.

FAQ
The timing of the change from puppy food to adult food depends (among other things) on the expected size and breed of your dog.
Small breeds (such as Dachshunds and Pugs) can be given puppy food up to 12 months of age. Medium-sized dogs (e.g. Australian Shepherds, Border Collies) can usually switch to adult food after they have finished teething (approx. 6 months of age), while large breeds (e.g. Bernese Mountain Dogs, Rhodesian Ridgebacks) can be fed adult food from the age of 4 months.
If you would like a customised solution for your dog, please contact our customer service team at info@platinum.co.uk or call our free service number: 0800 158 80 25
If an earlier changeover to an adult food is made, we recommend following the feeding recommendations for puppies until they are 12 months old in order to ensure an adequate supply of nutrients with optimum (and not maximum) growth rates. You can also get more information on optimal feeding via our digital feed advisor.
If you want to offer your dog some variety, you can easily switch between all PLATINUM foods. If your dog has a sensitive stomach, please contact our customer service for advice on feeding.
It does not matter whether you give wet food in the morning and dry food in the evening, or vice versa. A combination of wet and dry food in one meal is also possible, as both forms of feeding have the same digestibility with PLATINUM.
Every dog is originally descended from wolves, the digestive tract is designed for meat. Our kibbles are designed in such a way that they can be absorbed easily by any breed from the Chihuahua to the Great Dane and they satisfy the needs of all breeds equally.
Compared to conventional dry food, which is mainly made from meat meal, the slow-cook meat juice method requires at least 70% fresh meat in order to prepare PLATINUM dry food. The difference between meat meal and fresh meat is very huge. In order to obtain meat meal from fresh meat, the fresh meat has to be heated strongly and exposed to high heat for a long time, often also to high pressure. This removes the nutrient-rich meat juice from the fresh meat in addition to the flavor carrier fat. Meat meal therefore is significantly lower in nutrients than fresh meat. We know from cooking that meat juice and fat make the roast a pleasure in the first place, which is why we do not prepare the Sunday roast with meat meal. Thanks to the slow-cook meat juice method, the PLATINUM dry food does not contain any locks or flavors, no coloring or odorous substances and no flavor enhancers.
We recommend an immediate change in dog food without a transition phase. Due to the different digestibility, it is not recomendable to mix PLATINUM dry food with any other dry food.
No, you can rely on the fact that no animal experiments are done for the product development and production of our food and care products - neither by us, nor by any other third party.
To avoid causing problems in the puppy learning to produce the important substances contained in the extract on its own, they should not be supplied in the food in the first 3 months.
The dry dog food is durable for 18 month after production, the wet dog food MENU is durable for 36 month and MENU Mini for 24 months after production.
